All of these blogs have stood out through their contents, their quality of writing, use of language, interactivity, blog design – according to the comdirect finanzblog award’s independent jury. The jury is made up of Prof Dr. Christoph Neuberger (Institut for Communications Science und Media Research at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich), Joachim Goldberg (financial market analyst), Thomas Knüwer (business consultant and blogger), Jörg Sadrozinski (head of the Deutschen Journalistenschule Munich).
The award includes prize money totalling 7000 Euro and what’s more: the winners will be announced and receive the awards at #rp12. A discussion will also be held as to what needs to change in order for German finance blogs to no longer be an insider’s tip and make them resemble those of the USA, where finance blogs regularly initiate debates.
