Bastion

London based Singer/Songwriter Roxanne de Bastion has been composing and performing her own material since the age of 15. In a world of the diminishing music industry, Roxanne has taken matters into her own hands with extraordinary skill and determination: Her drive and ambition has taken her music from Berlin, to London, to New York and back. Dubbed by fans as “the hardest working woman in music”, she has been touring around the world on her own merit since she left her hometown Berlin with a guitar and a one-way ticket. Her self-released singles have been played up and down the BBC across the UK and her music videos have already had well over 20,000 views on Youtube alone.

This year Roxanne de Bastion makes her album debut with ‘The Real Thing’, produced by Gordon Raphael (The Strokes / Regina Spektor). Recorded and mixed in 7 days of wintery cold in her home town Berlin, it’s a reminder of what music should sound like: no frills, no straightening of notes or over-the-top reverb. Instead, well crafted original songs and an honest delivery. It’s raw, bold and in a league of its own.
